My story

Meet Rowan – The Gentle Ginger Gentleman With his long, fluffy orange coat and soulful hazel eyes, Rowan is every bit as handsome as he is affectionate. This sweet boy absolutely melts like butter in your arms—he loves being held, kissed, and snuggled close, and his big purrs will keep you company day and night. He’s a lap cat and a pillow-sharer who wants to be as close to his people as possible. Rowan is still young, so he’ll need a forever home with another kitty companion to play and grow with. He adores his foster mom's resident cats and plays very well with them. He is a gentle giant! Rowan is still young, gaining confidence, and learning socialization skills so he can be a little timid at first, but he loves to be around people! He would do best in a quiet, calm home that can nurture his gentle nature. He’d most likely do well with gentle children and will thrive in an environment filled with love, patience, and play. When his foster mom first brought him home, Rowan hardly put up a fight and let her clean him from ears to toe beans with cat wipes, do a full nail trimming, and brush out his long fur. He looked up at her with his hazel eyes and purred and purred, letting her love on him and care for him. He is just so sweet! Rowan loves to be held and kissed... he could have a million kisses and even then it’s not enough. His foster mom will miss how sweet he is and how open his heart is. Playtime is where Rowan really shines! He’s a playful little guy who loves tunnels, crinkly toys, chasing his brothers in tag or peek-a-boo, and climbing cat trees or shelves. His favorite activities include chasing his butterfly toy, running through tunnels, and pouncing on the automatic laser pointer. When he’s not zooming around, he’s happiest curled up with you or a cat buddy for TV time snuggles. Rowan had a tough start to life, born as a stray on the streets of Chicago, but his resilience and positive spirit are his superpower. He’s gentle, affectionate, patient (even waiting politely for treats!), and so open-hearted despite his bumpy beginning. His foster mom says she’ll miss his sweet nature and how he looks up at her with those hazel eyes full of trust and love. Rowan is ready to bring that same warmth to his forever family—could it be yours?
