My story

💛 Meet Lieutenant Dan AKA Dan the Man! This big, beautiful boy is the definition of gentle strength. He’s crate trained, walks well on leash (especially for how strong he is!), and has a calm, easygoing personality. Not only are his looks pure handsome.. his personality is top tier and he is truly a perfect little house hippo! He enjoys playing with toys here and there but isn’t the type to tear through the house — he’s laid back and careful, even for his size. When he puts his paws on you, it’s never rough — just his sweet way of saying hi. He can get a little nervous with loud noises or if he thinks he’s in trouble, and although he didn't have the best past, his heart is pure gold. He loves people, loves affection, and just wants to please. He’s still learning some basic commands and working on marking, but with time, patience, and a loving home, he’ll thrive. He shows positive body language when seeing other dogs and we think with proper introductions he would even enjoy having doggy friends! Cats unknown....we don't think he has met any yet! Great with kiddos! He’s a loyal, loving companion waiting for the right person to show him that he’s finally home. 💛 Could that be you?
