Josephine

My story

Hi! I am Josephine, a domestic short haired calico kitty with a very sweet disposition. I came to the shelter quite sick and my shelter family has been caring for me beautifully. I have grown into my own, come out of my shell and eagerly await pets and affection. I love treats and food - I guess you can say I am a 'foodie'! I'll go wherever you want me to for some treats, ha! I am spayed, and I am up to date on my vaccines - distemper and rabies. I have been FIV/Feline Leukemia tested and I am negative for both. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning. My ideal home includes a quiet and calm home. I tolerate other kitties without issue but I tend to be independent. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with kids who understand boundaries. A home with lots of activity may scare me. I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. I have an unique purr - I don't purr in the traditional sense - I coo. I sound like a pigeon when I 'purr' and it's incredibly adorable. A generous party has sponsored my adoption fee.
