My story

Oreo is a sweet, gentle, and incredibly resilient pup who’s ready to find his forever home. After being surrendered due to seizures that his previous family was unable to pursue treatment for, Oreo is now receiving the veterinary care and attention he deserves—and he’s thriving! Currently on medication, Oreo has not experienced any seizures while in care. He takes his meds like a champ and continues to live life as a happy, playful, and affectionate dog. He will likely need to remain on medication long-term, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit—so don’t let that discourage you! Oreo is an active boy who loves to run, play, and go for walks. He appears to be housebroken and has been doing wonderfully in rescue. His loving, easygoing personality truly shines once he feels comfortable. Oreo can be fearful of men at first and may need a little extra time and patience to build trust. With the right environment and gentle reassurance, he is capable of feeling safe and secure. Because of this, Oreo may do best in a female-only household or in a home willing to go slowly and thoughtfully while he adjusts. Oreo is feeling great and patiently waiting for a family to call his own.
