My story

East TN, Out of state not an option unless you can come to Athens TN. Sharon Weiss's Story Meet Sharon Weiss. She and seven others have come to us at Pet Path from a serious hoarding situation out of Bradley county TN. They were not socialized with people at all but we have gotten them to come a long way. They now come for a few scratches and scratches. They love to come inside to sleep in their crate and be out all day. We just had to give each of the seven jacks super fun names to go with their super fun personalities. So she is Sharon Weiss because it’s always someone else fault. It’s never her fault. If you don’t know about the Marie Calendars pie situation a few thanksgivings ago you owe it to yourself to check it out on social media! She’s actually very shy and just sort of hangs back to see what everyone else is doing before she proceeds to do anything or allow petting. She is really not so much a misfit we just think the names are fun. This little gal is begging to trust and be loved. She’s silly and sweet and will blossom in a home of her own. She came from a hoarding situation with several others and has taken some time to adjust to human interaction but she has come a really long way. She is not fond of being picked up but she does come close enough for booty scritches and scratches. She will also. often give you kisses. She is a Jack Russell mix with what we aren’t sure. She is very curious about everything and likes to know what’s going on and be in the center of it all, all the time. She will need a fenced yard and she may be a flight risk ant first til she knows you. She will need to be monitored when opening doors that are not leading out to a fenced yard area to make sure she does not escape. She’s a great gal that needs someone to give her time and patience to learn her new home and routine. She is crate trained and will sleep through the night. She does very well inside and will not potty unless you don’t let her out often enough she doesn’t quite know how to tell you she has to go potty but she does prefer to do it outside. Be sure you know the breed as Jacks are highly energetic, mischievous and can be devious little pups but they are also wonderful companions. That are also excellent rodent control. Forget the cat get yourself one of these and they will eradicate any vermin you may have. We have seen them do it and they are relentless about their job. Any of these girls would be happy on a farm if they have dog companions. Adopt two of them for maximum entertainment! Apply at petpath.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sharon Weiss, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
