Sassy

My story

This is Sassy, your new best friend. She’s a four-year-old “super mutt” (German Shepherd seems to be the most dominant breed) that has tons of energy and love to give. She’s a great walking buddy, loves routine, and being with the people she loves. We rescued Sassy in July 2022. We have adored her & been able to accommodate her unique behavioral needs since then. Sassy’s unique behavioral issues are nuanced, so if you’re interested in her please reach out. However, to give you a picture: Sassy has separation anxiety, is slow to warm to new situations and new people, and takes Prozac daily. She also has signs of SLO, which is an autoimmune disease that affects a dog's nail bed. We’ve seen a lot of success through medication and training, but she has not been able to adjust to life with our increasingly mobile baby while also being in intermittent pain.Ideal Home: recently retired or someone who works from home, loves to be outside, and is experienced with anxious dogs.
