My story

Meet Emma 💗 Emma is the mama of Leroy and Tillie, and she is truly one of the most loving cats you’ll ever meet. She is an absolute talker—Emma will chat with you all day long and make sure you always know she’s nearby. She adores attention and is incredibly clingy with her foster mom, soaking up every bit of love she can get. While Emma is currently fostered with other cats, she is being mildly bullied by one of them. She can hold her own and doesn’t let it go too far, but it’s clear she’s ready to move on to a home where she is the priority and can relax without that added stress. Emma would be a wonderfully affectionate addition to a family that gives her a little time to settle in and realize she is finally safe and home. Once she does, her loving and devoted personality truly shines. We do want to be transparent about Emma’s past. Before coming to us, we believe she may have experienced trauma. At a previous placement, dogs got into the room where Emma and her babies were being kept, and in her fear, she reacted defensively. Based on videos from before she came to us compared to her behavior now—constant eye-squinting and frequent vocalizing—we suspect she may have suffered physical or emotional trauma during that frightening incident. Despite whatever she has been through, Emma remains nothing but sweet, affectionate, and full of love. She deserves a calm, understanding home where she can feel secure and cherished for the rest of her life. Let’s find Emma the perfect family—one that will treat her with the kindness, patience, and love she so deeply deserves. 🐾💖
