🐾 Meet Gertie: The Ultimate Hostess with the Mostess! 🐾 If you're looking for a dog who will greet every guest like they're the most important person in the world, Gertie is your girl! This sweet senior absolutely loves people. Whether you're welcoming friends into your home or taking her out for an adventure, Gertie is always ready to make new friends and collect all the pets and cuddles she can get. House guests? Her favorite! She recently charmed visitors by snuggling up and spooning them to sleep once she was invited onto the bed. ❤️ Gertie loves carrying around her favorite stuffed toys, proudly prancing through the house in hopes of earning praise. She'll even bring you a sock or shoe just to show off—always gentle, never destructive. Her happy place is surrounded by people who adore her as much as she adores them. She's wonderful with children and has impeccable manners, keeping "four on the floor" and taking treats with the gentlest touch. One lucky little girl shared an ice cream cone with Gertie, and while she was thrilled, she remained incredibly polite and careful. Gertie would thrive in a home with plenty of love and visitors but a lower activity level. Due to her arthritis, she prefers short walks and leisurely potty breaks in the yard. Her favorite activities include showing off her toys, soaking up affection, and taking long, cozy naps on her heated bed. She's fully house-trained and currently doing great on her arthritis management plan. Her recent vet visit brought excellent news—her medications are working well, and her bloodwork looks fantastic! Gertie gets along nicely with calmer dogs but would do best with companions who respect her slower pace. She does have a high prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals is recommended. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet every day with a wagging tail, a toy in her mouth, and endless love to give, Gertie is ready to be your very best friend. 🩷
