My story

Meet Rocky — a 6-year-old pittie with a heart that refuses to quit. Rocky was saved from euthanasia not once, but twice. The first time, another rescue pulled him from the kill list and placed him in a foster home. When that placement fell through and space was tight, returning him to the shelter would have meant imminent death. That’s when Eleventh Hour Rescue stepped in, because Rocky deserved better than being discarded again. Now he’s safe, loved, and we’ve affectionately nicknamed him “Fat Rocky”—because this boy enjoys the good life and wears it well. Rocky is the kind of dog who knows no strangers. He’s friendly, social, and ready to leave the tough chapters of rural Tennessee behind and start fresh in New Jersey with people who will keep him for life. His favorite things are simple and perfect: a big comforter, a cozy spot, and snuggling up close (honestly, same). He has been cat-tested, and with proper introductions, he’ll most likely do fine sharing a home with feline friends. Rocky is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready for his next adventure—preferably one that ends with him on your couch, under your blanket, living the safe, spoiled life he’s always deserved.
