Meet Koozie — the beautiful, bright‑spirited girl who’s been waiting so patiently for her forever family 💛 Koozie is a 3‑year‑old, 38‑lb sweetheart with a heart as warm as her smile. She’s wonderfully dog‑friendly and absolutely lights up when she gets to play with canine friends. Whether she’s romping around with a buddy or curling up beside her people, Koozie brings a gentle, joyful energy that’s impossible not to love. This social, active girl would thrive in a home without cats, but she’d be thrilled to have a dog brother or sister to share her days with. She’s the perfect mix of playful and relaxed — she’ll happily join in on adventures, then settle in for quiet time with her humans. Her energy comes in sweet little waves, making her an easy companion for a variety of lifestyles. Koozie has been overlooked for far too long, and we can’t quite understand why. Her unique markings are part of what makes her so special, and anyone who meets her quickly sees how loving and loyal she is. She’s ready to be part of a family’s memories, traditions, and everyday moments. Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption: Thorough veterinary examination. All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Heartworm Test Fecal Test, Deworming Microchip Flea and Tick Prevention Heartworm Prevention. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
