My story

Fluffy is a shy guy who needs an adopter who will understand if he needs a minute to earn trust; but once he does he opens up into a big love bug! Expect him to find a safe space in your home and stay there for several weeks as he assesses his new home. He will always accept pets and will immediately enjoy them but don’t take it personality if he watches you from afar to start. Once he feels more comfortable, it’s magic! He’ll give you shy little meows asking for attention and loves whole body pets! This includes elevator butt from rubbing around his tail bone and he’ll start drooling with glee from neck rubs. He’s a master biscuit maker so once he’s confident with you, expect him to start baking those biscuits with his paw paws! Fluffy doesn’t have a specific diet and will try anything but is a bit shy about eating. He’ll need privacy to feel safe enough to go to his food bowl. He likewise eats overnight while his human(s) sleep and plays with his toys. He loves scratch pads the most but is curious about all of his toys and loves to play alone being a young kitty. Currently in foster care in Garden Grove. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
