Otter

My story

Otter is a handsome 5-year-old boy who's looking for a calm, understanding home to call his own. He originally came to the shelter as an owner surrender and was later adopted, but unfortunately returned through no fault of his own after struggling to adjust to a home with multiple cats. We've learned that Otter does best in a quieter environment where he doesn't have to compete with several feline roommates. He would be happiest as the only cat, but he could also do well with one other mellow feline friend. If there is another cat in the home, a slow, thoughtful introduction will be essential to help him feel safe and secure. Otter has lived in homes with multiple cats more than once, and we've found that too much feline activity makes him anxious. Otter can take a little time to settle into a new environment, so he's looking for an adopter who understands that some cats need a chance to decompress. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet, affectionate personality shines through and he becomes a loyal, loving companion. With a little time, patience, and the right environment, he'll reward his new family with a lifetime of love and companionship.
