My story

STANDS ON HER HIND LEGS TO BATTLE THE WAND TOY  DOB 11/11/24 Hey there, everyone I’m Neytiri, a beautiful pastel-gray tabby with a hint of cream who has the heart of a true princess warrior, just like my Avatar namesake. I’m affectionate and love head massages and chin scratches. I bond closely with my chosen hooman, so be prepared to gain a furry little shadow. I’ll dash to greet you at the door -- so rest assured, you’ll never come home to an empty house. Once I choose you as my person, my loyalty is deep and sacred. Outside of biscuit-making and petting sessions, playtime is my favorite thing. There is never a bad time to play! I’ll make you laugh as I stand on my two hind legs to engage in a royal battle with the wand toy. Just watch me soar comically through the air with impressive bounces to catch it mid-flight. Be sure to catch my wiggly-butt wind-up before a perfectly executed pounce. While I love being near you and rubbing up against you, I don’t need attention all day. I’m perfectly happy to lounge in my cuddler bed as I peacefully watch the world go by. I’m low-maintenance, a little sassy, very fun, and I absolutely have a mind of my own. A true princess prefers her space –so I’d love to be your one and only cat. My story started on the mean Houston streets when I hid under a broken car until a Good Samaritan began feeding me. Once I felt safe, I came right out to greet her and rubbed against her to say thank you. That joyful, grateful heart has stayed with me ever since. When I feel safe and loved, I give my whole heart back -- and you can truly feel how much I adore my people. I may be a little cautious when meeting new folks, but gentle pets and tasty snacks help me warm up quickly. Once I do, I’m the sweetest, most devoted companion who’s always nearby, always loyal -- just like you’d expect of a princess who has truly chosen her person.
