Name: Cali from Payroll (Pays in Chaos and Affection) Breed: Lab Mix Sex: Spayed Female Age: 1 year Weight: 38 lbs Animal Number: 4381 Energetic Love Bug, Snuggler, Fast Learner - Has Medical Needs Good with dogs? Yes, she loves dogs and is curious and non-reactive when meeting new dogs on leash. She will correct other dogs if they push her. Good with cats? Cali is polite and respectful of the foster kittens in her foster home. She may chase small animals who run from her, so introductions should be done slowly. Good with kids? Yes, Cali is sweet and gentle with children. Energy level: Medium energy. Cali would make a good running partner and can keep up for long exercise sessions, but she also enjoys a lazy day at home. Cali loves chew toys and can also jump a 6 foot fence if she tries! Until she knows she’s home, she should be supervised closely in backyards. Medical needs: Cali has allergies that may be caused by food or her environment, or a little of both. She’s currently doing a trial on a special diet. She has also had great success with monthly Cytopoint injections from a veterinarian to ease her symptoms. Cytopoint is a regular injection and she may need this shot every month or few months to stay comfortable. Along with daily fish oil, she’s been itch-free. Animal Characteristics: Cali is an energetic love bug and snuggle pup. She loves to meet new people, will jump up, shower you with kisses, and never turns down an opportunity for cuddling. She is food motivated, eager to please, smart, and a quick learner! She is learning her best manners, knows the command “sit,” is learning “lay down” and “come,” and is working on crate training. She is a joyful young pup who will benefit from continued training in her loving forever home, and may enjoy a doggie companion and playmate.
