My story

Cannoli and Bon Bon are two gentle, sensitive kittens who are still a little unsure about this big, noisy world—but every day, they’re getting braver. What they lack in confidence (for now!), they more than make up for in sweetness and heart. These two are deeply bonded and take comfort in each other, so they’ll need to be adopted together. Having their best friend by their side helps them feel safe as they continue to come out of their shells. While they may be shy at first, Cannoli and Bon Bon are already showing how much love they have to give. They’re starting to open up, seek comfort from their humans, and have even begun sleeping curled up on their foster’s lap—proof that once they trust you, they’re all in. 💕 They’ll do best in a calm, patient home with adopters who understand that good things take time. With gentle reassurance, consistency, and love, these two will blossom into wonderful, affectionate companions. Currently in foster care in Burbank. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
