My story

Meet Cheeto! This sweet older gentleman is looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly relax and blossom. He previously lived in a hoarding environment with many other cats, so he may not have had much positive socialization with people. Because of this, he can be a bit fearful at first and will likely need extra time to adjust to a new home. He tends to warm up slowly, but once he feels safe, his affectionate side really shines. He enjoys gentle petting and will reward you with loud, happy purrs when he’s feeling comfortable. Building trust at his pace will be key to helping him thrive. He would do best in a home with older teenagers or adults who can respect his boundaries and allow him to approach on his own terms. Offering treats, toys, or interactive play can help him build confidence and create positive associations with his new family. Adopters should be able to provide a safe room for the first few weeks of adoption. This quiet space will give him time to decompress and settle in. Once he feels secure there, he can gradually begin exploring the rest of the home at his own pace. With patience, kindness, and a little time, this gentle senior boy has so much love to give and will make a wonderfully rewarding companion.
