Rocco

My story

Rocco is a 6-8-year-old rescue, formerly known as Lil Duke (as noted on his old microchip). He was found on the streets of Sacramento and is truly one of the sweetest dogs. He is lively, full of personality, and loves to snuggle and play with his squishy toys. When excited, he greets us by carrying a toy, which helps prevent mouthing.Once he trusts you, Rocco is incredibly affectionate, enjoys attention, and sploots, while also appreciating his personal space, which he shows by stepping away when needed. He does not like being hugged from behind and can be reactive to other people and pets. He is generally quiet and would do best in a calm, loving home with a patient single person or couple. Experience with reactive dogs would be a plus, as well as someone who truly loves dogs and is willing to give Rocco the care and affection he deserves.Rocco has a large burn scar on his back. While we do not know how it happened, that did not make him lose his spark or his incredible personality.
