My story

Meet Benson, a 2-year-old mixed breed with a sweet nature and lots of potential. Benson is a loving boy who truly wants to bond with his people and be part of a family. Benson does best in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. He thrives when he understands expectations and has guidance to help him succeed. He was returned after lunging at male guests in the home, so he will most likely do best in a home without male residents. With proper training, patience, and positive reinforcement, this behavior can absolutely be worked on and improved. Because Benson appreciates having his space respected, he should go home with older children who understand how to interact appropriately and read his cues. The good news? Benson likes other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion. He also loves his toys and is happiest when he has something fun to carry around or chew on. Continued training will help him build confidence and polish his manners, and he’ll flourish with someone committed to helping him grow. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to provide the structure and training he needs, Benson could be a wonderful addition to your home.
