My story

Hi! My name is Gemma. I am a really sweet, well behaved girl, and I am just looking for my furever home! I was found by police officers and animal control in a home that had been robbed. I was emaciated and so sad, but they took me to the shelter and then I went to a foster home to recover. I am about 3 years old (born around 2023), weigh about 42 pounds, and I love dogs and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I like dogs that are calm and friendly. No small furry animals for me though (I chase cats and squirrels). My foster mom says that I am her most favorite, most well behaved foster ever in 20 years of fostering. She said I don't chew things up, I am perfectly housebroken and crate trained, I play a great game of fetch, I know several commands including sit and shake, and I paw at the door when I need to go outside to potty. I eat nicely from my own bowl, take treats gently from children, and I'm just the most well behaved dog ever. I am spayed, microchipped, have been treated for heartworms, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention.
