My story

Raven is a quiet treasure with a story that has shaped her into the thoughtful, affectionate companion she is today. She spent her first few months with her mom and siblings, safe and loved. When her human began facing health challenges and could no longer care for her, Raven moved into a foster home where she once again had feline friends to play with while she waited for a family of her own. At five months old, that family arrived. She settled in and spent another five months in what everyone hoped would be her forever home. Unexpectedly, she was returned — not because of anything Raven did — and she came right back to her original foster home, adjusting almost instantly, as if she understood she was still safe. Raven is the kind of cat who quietly weaves herself into your daily life. At night, she prefers to sleep at the bottom of the bed, though sometimes she’ll curl along your side. Sit down on the couch and she’ll press warmly against your leg, occasionally climbing into your lap and tipping her head up for chin scratches. When she stretches out beside you, she happily offers her tummy for gentle pets. If you work from home, expect a soft interruption — Raven loves to sprawl across a desk, request attention, and then drift into a contented nap while you type around her. She has developed some very specific culinary opinions. It took a full “buffet” of seven different canned varieties to discover her preferences, and she’s still refining her palate. She reliably enjoys kitten chow, Churu stews, and Churu treats — though tuna is firmly rejected, salmon is suspicious, and salmon mixed with chicken is… negotiable. When she gives a little whine, she is almost certainly asking for a treat. And yes, she may be just a bit spoiled. While she isn’t fond of being carried around for long stretches, she will tolerate short holds if she feels secure. Hold her close against you, and she’ll relax enough to stay in your arms a little longer. Raven does beautifully with other cats. With a younger companion, she’ll happily engage in a spirited game of chase — a kind of feline tag. She’s also impressively clever. One of her favorite activities is a dog-style puzzle toy that requires sliding doors open to uncover treats. She has mastered it and rarely leaves a single prize behind. Many people say their cat is special. In Raven’s case, it’s true in a quiet, steady way. She isn’t flashy — she’s devoted. She will be a wonderful companion for someone who understands that love is an exchange: she will give as much warmth and loyalty as she receives. Adopt Raven TODAY!
