My story

Doc is a confident, independent boy who enjoys exploring his surroundings at his own pace. He is approachable, calm, and easy to lead, showing comfort and confidence in new environments. During assessments, Doc was observed happily curled up on a bed on his own, content to take time and explore without stress. While he is friendly and approachable, Doc tends to focus more on his environment than on constant human attention. Handling is simple, and he shows no signs of resource guarding. Physically, Doc is in great condition with no concerns noted. Doc has met several small dogs, including Italian greyhounds and had no reaction. He walks great on lead and has shown very little interest in squirrels he passes along the way. Doc would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm, confident, and independent companion, someone who can give him space to explore and settle while offering affection and guidance when he seeks it.
