My story

Kissable Kallie A18178848 lb. spayed female, approx 4 years old-This older gal is the definition of calm companionship. She’s been through a lot in her life — including raising multiple litters — and now she’s ready to be the one cared for. She’s on the thinner side and clearly food-motivated, which makes her a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training. She happily sits for treats, takes them politely, and listens well with a few gentle reminders.-She’s not too interested in toys at the moment, but she loves quiet affection. She enjoys being close for pets without being overly needy, and once she felt comfortable, she sweetly scooted in beside me, rolled over, and offered her belly — a big sign of trust.-On leash, she can pull and would benefit from using a harness, but she’s responsive and eager to please. Overall, she’s a mellow, affectionate soul who would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can finally relax, fill out, and enjoy being someone’s cherished companion.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
