My story

Meet Whisper, a petite 1-year-old tabby and white Domestic Shorthair with a soft spirit and a touch of sass. Weighing just 6.28 pounds, she may be small, but she has a personality all her own.Whisper came to us as an owner release due to there being too many animals in the home. Her previous owner shared that she does well with children, making her a potentially great addition to a family. While she arrived with another cat and has been housed alongside her, Whisper can be a bit particular about her feline companions and may get a little grumpy at times. Because of this, she would likely thrive as the only cat in the home or in a space where she has room to retreat and relax when she wants some alone time.We do not currently know how Whisper feels about dogs.Whisper has received her first round of vaccines and has been treated with dewormer as well as flea and tick prevention, helping her get off to a healthy start in her new home.If you’re looking for a sweet but independent companion who will blossom in the right environment, Whisper may be the perfect match for you.Adoption fee: $60 + taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
