Tonka

My story

Tonka is a very loyal and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She is 8 years old and super energetic! She loves being close to her family and enjoys relaxing at home and going for walks. She has been a loved part of our family and this decision has been incredibly difficult for us. Tonka can be anxious and is sensitive to loud noises like trucks or heavy traffic outside. She also tends to bark at new people and takes some time to warm up to strangers. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she is very loving and devoted. Because of her personality, Tonka would do best in a calm, patient home with adults who can give her time to adjust and build trust. She would likely thrive in a quieter home without young children. Tonka will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal dog who loves deeply and enjoys being close to her person.
