🐕 Meet Balto: The Great Adventurer (and Professional Snacker)! Are you looking for a sidekick who’s an athlete? Meet Balto, a medium sized(50lbs) 1-2 year old medium mixed breed who needs either a foster or adopter! Balto is the definition of a "happy boy." Whether you’re a long-time friend or a stranger he just met, he’s going to greet you with a wagging tail and a smile. 🐾 Why we love Balto: * Food is Life: He is incredibly food-motivated. If you have a treat, you have his undivided attention! He already has a beautiful "sit" down pat. * Play Professional: This high energy guy lives for the ball. And if you have a ball on a rope? Get ready for a fun game of tug! 🎾 * A Respectful Gentleman: In his dog testing, Balto showed great social awareness. When a female dog asked for space, he listened immediately. He backed off and was submissive. Balto can either live with another well matched sibling (opposite sex preferred) or he can be your one and only. 🏠 What Balto needs: * Training Partners: Balto is still a bouncy youngster! He gets a little "jumpy" when he’s excited, so he needs a family committed to working on his manners and will pursue professional training. 📝 * Kids 8+: Due to his high energy and jumping, we think he’d do best in a home with sturdier kids who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiasm. * Adventure: He’s an active guy, so he’s looking for an active family that will keep his mind and body active! We can see him thriving as the ultimate hiking buddy! 🥾 We are unsure if he’s been exposed to cats so our preference would be no kitties unless a foster home has the experience of doing slow intros. He was picked up as a stray, and has been in boarding for a couple months. But you would never know it with his happy spirits. This special boy deserves a home. Interested in Balto?
