Belle

My story

Hi, I’m Belle. I’m about 3 years old, weigh around 45 pounds, and I’m a spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped pointer mix. I have a higher energy level and absolutely love to run and play, especially when I have space to stretch my legs. I’m playful and goofy, but I also know how to settle and match the vibe of my environment. I can keep up with an active day or relax when things are calm. I do well with other dogs, especially larger dogs who understand personal space. I enjoy having a canine companion as long as they respect my boundaries. Cats are still an unknown for me, and I do well with kids. I’m friendly and social, but crowded or chaotic environments can overwhelm me, so I do best when things aren’t too hectic. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I’m still working through occasional crate accidents, but I’m making progress every day with consistency and routine. I spent months sitting in a shelter before coming into rescue, waiting for my chance. Despite that, I’m incredibly friendly and full of personality. I can occasionally resource guard, but I’ve been working on it and continuing to improve. I’m looking for an active family with a fenced yard where I can run, play, and feel secure. If you want a dog who’s fun-loving, adaptable, and just needs a little understanding when things get busy, I’d love to find my forever home with you.
