My story

Meet Princess Penne! This 6-year-old, 40 lb sweetheart is the total package — brains, beauty, and just the right amount of sass. Penne has settled beautifully into her foster home and has been busy learning all kinds of new skills. She’s an eager student who loves to make her people proud! Penne is a classic bully girl who loves her people big time. She greets everyone she meets with a happy heart and zero hesitation — kids and adults alike are instant best friends in her book. If you’ve got affection to give, Penne is ready to soak it all up. When it comes to fun, the flirt pole is her absolute favorite toy. She also loves foraging toys and snuffle mats that keep her clever brain busy. But don’t worry — she’s not destructive at all! Penne is respectful in the home and leaves her toys and bedding perfectly intact. Princess Penne’s royal resume: • Crate trained • Potty trained • Polite with her belongings • Smart and eager to learn • Expert snuggler Her perfect day? A nice hike or outdoor adventure followed by curling up on the couch for some serious cuddle time. She’s just as happy chilling with her people as she is heading out to explore. Penne does have a high prey drive, so she’s looking for a home without cats or small animals. She also came from a past where she had some difficult encounters with other dogs, which made her fearful when she first arrived in foster care. With patience and training, she’s made wonderful progress and has learned to peacefully coexist during structured activities with a calm neutered male dog in the home. That said, Penne would truly love to be your one and only princess, soaking up all the love and attention. However, she may be able to live with a relaxed, dog-savvy neutered male with a very slow, thoughtful introduction.
