River

My story

We rescued river in March of 2023 when I had learned I was pregnant. River immediately became an incredible family member and has since been the best fur sister to my 2 year old daughter. She is high energy and craves love and attention. At this time, it has become difficult having lots of small children over whether for holiday get together or play dates. River is highly aggressive towards other dogs and while she doesn't interact with them, it is evident even when she sees them through the window. We did have a dog trainer and she made great strides while we worked together She loves to sleep in bed/under the covers with us and run outside in the backyard. No chew toy lasts more than a few minutes. All I know of Rivers prior living situations, is that her first "home" was not fit or safe. She was found starving to death @ 28 lbs (when shes a 60 lb dog). She then was in and out of foster/boarding until we become her safe home. She does seem to get anxious with young children ages 4-7
