If you are looking for a cat who truly adores people, Chester is you guy. He's incredibly affectionate, not shy in the slightest, and will happily soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. In fact, he insists on it. Chester loves to curl up right on top of you, shower you with little kisses, and be held like a baby-he's all about closeness and connection. In fact, sometimes he's so overwhelmed by his feelings he will give you a little "love nip". It's a cute trait, but can be alarming to a new cat owner who isn't expecting it ;) --- Chester is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health, despite his FIV+ diagnosis. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! Chester gets along well with other cats and would likely enjoy a feline companion. He hasn't been around dogs or children and due to his "love bites", he'd do best in a home without young kids. If you're ready for a cuddly, affectionate, slightly mischievous best friend, Chester is waiting to meet you! --- *Chester is FIV+ What is FIV? https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv *Chester can safely live with other cats, as the risk of FIV transmission is extremely low, especially in stable, non-aggressive households. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with proper care, including regular annual vet visits. To ensure his continued health, Chester must remain an indoor-only cat. Chester is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home.
