My story

From the Foster Home: `I would love to see Barley go with an older person who would love just sitting and watching TV together. He definitely has that old man personality and ready to just be comfortable with his remaining years. He is not a fan of his muzzle being touched! He did really well around all animal types, but with being hard of hearing and slower, he would thrive in a single or two dog place where he can just be a couch potato. He`s a very good dog. My whole family and I were lucky to have him. He will need steps to get up in your bed, but he does love to sleep at the foot of the bed, not a bed hog. He`s not a face licker or jump in your lap to cuddle, but makes the best weighted blanket I`ve ever had when we were just hanging out. He`s a sweet old man dog and would make a wonderful addition to any family.` Joint Animal Services is recommending that Barley go to a home with no young children, given that Barley is hard of hearing and can startle easily. Older children that can respect his needs and boundaries as a senior dog are preferred. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas.Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
