My story

Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog. We are open for adoption by appointment Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday-Sunday we are open for walk-in visitors from 11 to 3:00. NO Appointment needed Wednesday-Sunday. Please copy the link below to schedule your appointment for Monday and Tuesday. Tribeca is about a year old and 31 pounds of pure sweetness. This darling girl has the most joyful spirit — she greets everyone she meets with a loose, wiggly body and a heart full of love. New friends? Yes, please! She’s always ready to say hello with enthusiasm and a happy tail. Tribeca came to us from a hoarding case in Winslow, and despite everything she’s been through, she has held onto her gentle, loving nature. She truly deserves the very best life has to offer. She’s currently learning leash manners and discovering that while she thinks big hugs are the best thing ever, not every human (or dog!) is ready for that level of excitement right away. She’ll thrive in a home that’s patient and committed to continuing her obedience training to help her polish her manners and build confidence. Tribeca does have one special dog friend here at the shelter that she came in with, which has been a wonderful comfort to her. She’s still a little unsure about other dogs at the moment, but with slow introductions, reassurance, and guidance, she’s very capable of learning that new canine friends aren’t something to fear. With her affectionate heart and happy personality, Tribeca would make a wonderful companion for just about any family willing to give her structure, patience, and lots of love. After all she’s been through, she deserves a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and celebrated every single day.
