Meet AshbyAshby is a young, soft-hearted grey tabby who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place anymore.Originally thought to be a girl (surprise! 😅), Ashby got his name during his rescue—and it stuck. He came into the rescue alongside a few friends after being trapped by a kind, concerned citizen who wanted a better life for them.When Ashby first arrived, he was all hiss and fear. Not mean—just unsure. His entire world had flipped overnight.But with time, patience, and a lot of gentle love… everything started to change.Now?Ashby is learning to trust.He’s started coming forward for pets instead of hiding. He leans into affection once he feels safe. Quick movements can still make him nervous, but once he settles in, his sweet personality really shines.He’s great with other cats and would really benefit from having a confident feline friend to help show him the ropes. Kids are okay, as long as they understand he needs a little patience.Ashby isn’t your “instant cuddly kitten.”He’s something better.He’s the kind of cat who will choose you. Who will slowly, quietly decide you’re safe… and then give you a kind of love that feels earned.And those are the ones you never forget. 🩶
