My story

Sweet street cat seeks patient adopter with expertise in scritches! Hi, I’m Jackie. I think scritches all over are the best thing ever and I’d love to head butt your hand and arch into pets for as long as you’ll keep petting me! Sometimes my nose is a little stuffy and it makes me purr extra loud… I hope that’s okay! I had a tough life on the streets of Dayton and there are some things I just don’t want to talk about. It’s okay if you reach in to pet me, but please let me come out on my own terms. I think human hands are awesome, but it’s scary when both hands are on me at the same time and being picked up is extra scary. As much as I like hands, I’m not comfortable with faces being too close, so as much as you want to kiss me on the head, I’d rather you not for now. I really want to love and be loved, but big rooms are overwhelming to me. I’d do best in a small room where we can interact every day until I am comfortable enough to start coming out on my own. I'm working through some things, but maybe you are, too, and we can work on it together?
