My story

Cookie came to us as part of a shelter swap from a neighboring county, a program designed to help dogs gain exposure to new adopters and increase their chances at finding a home. Although we didn’t intend to put this adorable 1-year-old to work, we quickly realized she has a special skill — she is an excellent greeter dog.She now serves as our official greeter dog when needed, which says a lot about this sweet, submissive, and social girl. She walks well on a leash, loves playtime, has impressive zoomie skills, enjoys belly rubs, knows “sit,” has great energy, and loves attention.Come meet Cookie at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville to see if she’s the perfect fit for your family.Hours: Monday–Friday 12–5pm Saturday 11am–2pmHer adoption fee is 80. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Please establish vet care after adoption to keep your new family member healthy. We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children before adoption to ensure a great fit.Remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet:3 Days to decompress3 Weeks to learn routines3 Months to feel fully at homeCookie / A3172311 year 1 monthSpayed female43.20 pounds

If you have any questions or would like to adopt COOKIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
