Pending adoption đ©” We have a transport leaving June 25th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes đ For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Luna to our trip for the right family đ There is something about Luna that you donât fully understand until youâve had her in your arms⊠and then suddenly, nothing else matters. Luna is the black-coated beauty of this trio, and while she may be small in size, right around that 5â6 pound mark at 2 years of age, her heart is expansive in a way that feels almost human. She is the true sweetheart. The one who leans in just a little closer, who watches you with soft, knowing eyes that feel like theyâre truly seeing you. She doesnât demand attention⊠she draws you in. Quietly. Naturally. The kind of presence that feels like peace. Luna came to us alongside her siblings after their previous owner made the incredibly difficult but loving decision to surrender them due to a demanding schedule that no longer allowed her to be present in the way these girls deserved. That love is something Luna has carried with her, and you can feel it in how deeply she bonds. She is wonderful with other dogs and does beautifully with cats as well. She is also very gentle with people, though she will need a patient and understanding home as she continues navigating life outside of her sistersâlearning what it means to stand confidently on her own and build that one-on-one bond with her person. Luna is incredibly quiet by nature and not a barker. The only time youâll hear her little voice is when sheâs happy or excitedâshe has the sweetest way of âtalkingâ in those moments that will absolutely melt you. She is great on road trips of any length and settles in beautifully, making her an easy companion whether itâs a quick errand or a long journey. She is also wonderful at the groomer and handles the process with ease. Luna is pad trained and does very well with consistency. Due to her tiny size, she is fully dependent on her person for outdoor timeâincluding potty breaksâso a structured routine will be important if her adopter prefers transitioning her fully outside. She is crate trained, and for us that means she sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate without distress. She can also do very well in a small, safe, confined area if a crate is not preferred, as long as that space is secure and comforting for her. Luna is not leash trained yet, so that will be something her new family will work on with her. Given her size, she is very easy to carry while she builds confidence and learns to enjoy the world from the ground up at her own pace. She is spayed and has received a full dental cleaning. She will also go home current on vaccines, microchipped, and with a full veterinary exam and health certificate. Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_luna-3 reflecting the care and preparation she has received. Luna is not just looking for a home⊠she is looking for her person. The one she can quietly love with her whole heart.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Luna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
