My story

Apple is a cute 9 year old shorthaired who has been with our family for two years. Initially, she was very sweet with the whole family, cuddling on the couch and always wanting to be around us. She was well behaved, never waking us at night or meowing early for food. She was vocal and playful and and all around wonderful pet. However, in the past year my younger son has been scratched twice when Apple got territorial lying on our bed. He has done nothing to provoke her but seems to be a target, with her stalking him when they’re alone together. Apple’s unpredictable behavior has sadly made it impossible to keep her without constantly monitoring. With the adults and teen in the house she has always been fine. She frequently lies on our chest, snuggles by our feet at night, and is pretty docile during the day. She doesn’t require another cat companion and we’re unsure how she’d do with another cat in the house, but did live with a sibling before we adopted.
