My story

Meet Acadia 💛 Acadia is an 8-month-old Catahoula mix making her way north from the South in search of the loving forever family she deserves. She weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet cuddle bug. Acadia loves other dogs, does wonderful with kids, and even gets along great with cats. She is both housebroken and crate trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. Despite her young age, Acadia has already endured more than any dog should. At some point in her life, this sweet girl was shot. A bullet remains lodged under the skin near her throat, but after evaluation, the vet determined it is surrounded by scar tissue, is not causing her pain or discomfort, and does not need to be removed at this time. What’s truly incredible about Acadia is that none of her past has dimmed her spirit. She is still loving, trusting, affectionate, and full of joy. She greets life with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and so much love to give. Acadia is ready to leave her past behind and finally experience what it means to be safe, cherished, and part of a family who will love her forever. This beautiful girl deserves the happiest ending. 🐾
