My story

His look hints at Persian lineage, and so does his personality: gentle, laid-back, affectionate, and happiest when soaking up love and attention. His expression may sometimes suggest “Sad Kitty,” but don’t be fooled — Elvis is a content, loving boy whose face simply brings smiles wherever he goes.One of his most charming features? His nonstop, thunderously loud purr. Elvis purrs with such enthusiasm that little trills sneak in, sometimes tickling his throat! It’s his way of letting you know just how happy he is to be near his people.Just over a year old, once he settles in and has time to acclimate, Elvis adores companionship. He enjoys interactive wand toys, electronic toys, and occasional bursts of playful energy, but his favorite activity is simply being with you. Movie night cuddles? Absolutely. Warm lap while you work? Perfect. Quiet company on the couch? That’s Elvis’s specialty. He’s affectionate without being demanding and brings a calm, comforting presence to a home.True to his easygoing nature, Elvis can do well with other cats after a proper gradual introduction and patience but would also do fine as an only kitty with people who have time to devote to him. He is fully litter box reliable and appreciates a variety of foods.Elvis’s journey to finding a forever home has not been easy. Rescued from severe cruelty and neglect in Egypt, his story is one of resilience, survival, and second chances. Thanks to devoted rescuers, he made the long journey to Northern Virginia in search of the safe, loving life he has always deserved.Elvis is fully vetted, neutered, combo tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever family.His adoption fee is $300, which helps cover veterinary care, vaccinations, neuter surgery, and international transport from Egypt.
