Jasper

My story

Jasper is a DOODLE and a July 4th birthday doggie, he's six years old and gets along with other dogs and kids. He is a amazing guard dog and is used to older people. He is very protective of his home and his people. He lives with two small dogs and is losing his home at no fault of his own. His owner is moving from MI to FL to be with her autistic grandson who doesn't understand boundaries and personal space. While Jasper is good with people he knows well, he is protective of the other dogs in his family and with this grandchild he will not understand he's autistic. Many dogs with autistic family members often do not understand the clues since autistic people don't understand social cues. Some dogs gravitate to them, other dogs are confused by the connection that is missing. Jasper is one of those dogs. He will not understand when he's grabs and pinched which is what this grand child does. We need to find Jasper a new, quiet home. A home where he can be the best of who his is. A protector of the home and his people. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard and a active person who can walk him and he can again live the life he's come to love. He loves to play, fetch and take long relaxing walks and play with other dogs. He is fixed, up to date on shots and is in desperate need of the love he's about to lose in losing his home.
