My story

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO. AN APPLICATION IS REQUIRED. Hi Everyone! Im Willow I am a Catahoula Leopard Dog from a working line. I am a beautiful, red and white color with striking blue eyes, as you can see in my pictures. I am also deaf, and because I am deaf, the people who had my mom and dad couldn’t use me to work, so they were going to shoot me!!! I was just a baby and I knew I could be a great dog one day. I didnt know why they didnt want me. Thankfully, my foster mom heard about what was happening and took me away from those people and has been helping to raise me and keep me safe and happy. I am full of puppy energy and I love to play. I have a foster brother who keeps me on my toes and my older foster sister who would be happy with a little less of my energy. I may be deaf, but dont let that fool you— I am really smart, adaptable, and ready to learn with a patient, loving family who will help me thrive. My foster mom said that a lot of dogs don't listen well, and have something called selective hearing and people can train them. So, hopefully they will train me too! I have a little bit of stranger danger these days because I haven’t been able to go to a lot of new places. My foster mom is super busy and tries really hard, but she hasn’t been able to let me explore new places too often. We are still working on that. I usually am a little scared at the beginning and I do bark a bit, but I warm up pretty quickly. I would love to find a new family who has some experience with training, and it would be amazing if someone has experience with training deaf dogs. It’s OK if they don’t, as long as they are the right people because we have a trainer that can help the right family. My birthday is January 10, 2026, and I am getting bigger every day. I think I am going to grow up to be big and strong like my foster brother. I cant wait to find my forever home so that I can be the dog I am meant to be! Im so happy that my foster mom gave me a chance. I am spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and current on flea and heartworm preventative.
