Yes, with children around 8 years old, on a kid-by-kid basis.Could she do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Tova is a sweet girl who cautiously sought affection. Outside, she was pulling from place to place but began to check in with me as we walked. Inside, she was more cautious but warmed up in the activity room, actively seeking connection and enjoying being nearby.Tova responded well to redirection and knew the cue `sit.` She was uncomfortable being touched while eating and stared intently until I backed off. While she recovered well from startling noises, she was apprehensive around certain objects, like umbrellas.Tova did well meeting strangers and an unfamiliar dog.
