My story

Name: Wrangler Nickname: Ray-Ray, That Little Dog, Cow Breed: A perfect mixed breed. Everyone has their guessed but we suspect Hound is in there somewhere. Age: 3.5 months Sex: Male Current Weight: ~18 lbs. Before OMD: Wrangler (and 2 of his brothers) was part of an oopsie litter (don’t worry, mom has been spayed!) and was rescued as a young puppy. Energy Level: Moderate puppy energy. Wrangler loves to play, run, and wrestle with other dogs, but he’s equally happy to curl up for a nap once he’s tuckered out. Descriptors: Sweet, playful, fun, affectionate, independent, social What We Love Most: Wrangler’s big personality packed into a little body. He never lets his size stop him from joining in on the fun, gets the cutest zoomies, sleeps in hilarious positions, and has a soft spot for dandelion fluff. What He Loves Most: Other dogs, treats, mealtime, being outside, stuffed squeaky toys, chew bones, balls, and playtime with his people. Working On: House-training, leash skills, learning basic commands (he’s currently practicing “sit”), and building confidence in unfamiliar places. Dogs: Loves dogs of all shapes and sizes and would enjoy having a playful canine companion. Cats: Currently living with a cat. The cat mostly keeps its distance, but Wrangler would likely be interested in trying to play if given the opportunity. Kids: Has done well with kids. He loves his human foster siblings and enjoys spending time with children. House Trained: In progress. Wrangler is doing well but, like any young puppy, still needs consistency and continued training. Crate Trained: Yes. He sleeps in his crate and settles nicely after a brief period of whining when left alone. Wrangler is fully (age-appropriate) vetted and available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from our website.
