Broccoli Cheddar

My story

First things first, did you see what she looks like with a full head of hair? SO scruffy. Grooming is required to keep her from getting matted and having to be fully shaved down (I.E. her photos now)   If you ordered “one tiny best friend with absolutely no concept of personal space,” congratulations: Broccoli Cheddar has arrived.  This sweet little puppy girl is equal parts cuddle bug, toy chaser, and professional face-kisser. At around 12-ish pounds, she may be small, but her personality is huge. If you sit down, there is a very good chance she will immediately attempt to climb into your lap and smother you with affection. BC LOVES fetch!  Broccoli Cheddar is still young and has plenty of puppy energy, but she’s also the kind of dog who settles quickly once she gets her zoomies out. She loves chew toys, stuffies with squeakers, soft blankets, and snuggling up with her people after a busy day. She’s currently living with dogs of all sizes and doing great. She’s playful when invited, respectful when the other dogs want space, and has a naturally submissive personality that keeps her out of trouble. Her Texas foster also reported that she previously lived with cats successfully. A few things she’s still working on: House training is coming along, but she sometimes gets distracted outside and forgets to finish business before coming back in. A consistent routine is key for avoiding accidents. She can be a little nervous in new environments at first, but gains confidence quickly.  She walks well on leash overall, though she does weave around a bit.   She LOVES people and is still learning that launching herself face-first into someone for kisses is not always appreciated.   She does well in her crate, rides okay in the car, and would likely thrive in a home that wants an affectionate, social little sidekick. She’d probably love kids who are old enough to handle her enthusiastic energy and constant kisses. Also, in case you were wondering: yes, she suckles on soft blankets when she’s cozy, and it’s ridiculous levels of adorable. Broccoli Cheddar is ready to bring entertainment, cuddles, and an endless amount of love into your life.     This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted.
