My story

Lunah's Story Lunah Gender: Female Adoption Fee: $265 Breed: Mixed (as matter of fact her foster did her DNA test for fun she is a mix of: Pit bull terrier, GSD, American bulldog husky, and Treeing walker coonhound.) Estimated Birthday: 05/26/2023 Meet Lunah the perfect mix of adventure buddy, professional napper, and lovable goofball. This beautiful girl is looking for a forever family after being surrendered through no fault of her own. Her previous family loved her dearly but faced housing circumstances that made keeping her impossible. Thankfully, Lunah is healthy, happy, and more than ready for her next chapter. Lunah lives life in two speeds: full-throttle zoomies and championship-level napping. Give her a fenced yard, a few toys to toss around, and shell happily entertain herself before crashing for a well-earned snooze. She's also a fantastic car rider, enjoys exploring on walks, and loves toys that keep her mind busy, especially if you rotate them to keep things interesting. She's even working hard on expanding her resume beyond sit, stay, and down. While Lunah has plenty of confidence once she knows you, she's a little shy when meeting new people. She likes to take things at her own pace and appreciates having a safe spot where she can settle in. But once you've earned her trust? Get ready, because this sweet girl isn't shy about letting you know when she's ready for pets, cuddles, and all of your attention. She has a quiet way of stealing hearts. Lunah does well with dogs around her size and enjoys having canine friends, though like many dogs, she appreciates having a few toys of her own. She has shown she can share, but she's happiest when everyone has their own treasures. Her previous owner reported she did well with cats, though that hasn't been tested in foster care. She's both house-trained and crate-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and settles nicely after the excitement of starting a walk. Because she can be a bit of an escape artist when startled, shell do best with a secure harness or collar and a fenced yard with a sturdy 4-5 foot fence. Like every rescue dog, Lunah is still working on a few things, she occasionally forgets that kitchen counters aren't buffet tables, and she's building confidence when left alone in her crate. With consistency, patience, and lots of love, she's already making wonderful progress. Lunah isn't looking for perfection; she's simply looking for someone willing to let her bloom at her own pace. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who will make you laugh with her zoomies, warm your heart with her affection, and remind you every day that the best things in life are worth waiting for. If you're looking for a dog with a playful spirit, a gentle heart, and enough personality to keep life interesting, Lunah might just be the missing piece of your family. Come meet her, you may find that she's been waiting for you all along.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lunah, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
