Peter

My story

Peter is a 2–4-year-old Chihuahua mix who found his way to Sky Sanctuary completely by chance. After being found running through the streets, his finder had nowhere else to turn, and from the moment Peter arrived, this little guy has been stealing hearts. Peter has truly blossomed in our care. He's spunky, affectionate, incredibly intelligent, and always eager to learn. An A+ student, he thrives with structure, positive reinforcement, and loves having a job to do. Watching his confidence grow has been such a joy, and his resilience throughout his journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Peter also underwent a successful Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery after arriving in our care and has worked incredibly hard through rehabilitation. He's now graduating from physical therapy and continues to get stronger every day, proving just how adaptable, determined, and full of heart he is. Above all else, Peter is simply a really wonderful dog. He's loyal, loving, and ready to share his sweet personality with a family of his own. Whether he's learning something new, soaking up affection, or curling up beside his favorite people, Peter is happiest just being part of the action.
