My story

Meet Nala a brilliant, devoted young German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. At just 1-2 years old, Nala is already impressively trained and eager to keep learning. She has mastered commands like sit, stay, come, heel, and even offers both paws on cue. She responds to both verbal commands and hand signals, and on walks, she proudly heels right at your side without pulling. Smart is an understatement Nala thrives when she has a confident handler who will continue to guide and challenge her. Nala is the sweetest girl youll ever snuggle once you have built trust with her. This gentle soul is happiest enjoying the simple things in life curling up on the couch beside her favourite person or relaxing in the comfort and security of her crate. She loves a calm, easy-going lifestyle and is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can build trust and grow her confidence at her own pace. With kindness, consistency, and a little time, this loving girl will reward her person with endless affection, loyalty, and the very best cuddles. Nala does best with active adults who can give her the structure, exercise, and leadership she craves. Daily walks and space to run are essential for this girl. She enjoys purposeful play especially her beloved red Kong (a little peanut butter, frozen, is her favourite treat!), soft toys, however, wont survive long with Nala, as she loves to chew. At home, Nala appreciates routine and her own safe space. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night (with her cozy blue blanket) and will often take herself there for a quiet afternoon break. She is house-aware but will need supervision shes clever and curious, and if left unattended, may redecorate your yard or help herself to anything left within reach on the counter. Nala gets along well with other dogs but should be fed separately, and introductions should be managed thoughtfully. She would do best in an adult only home where her boundaries and training can continue to be reinforced. Nala is not suitable in a home with children. Nala is still working on building trust and will take time to feel comfortable, but with patience and consistency, she will become a loving and loyal companion. Originally from Moosonee, Nala is a strong, resilient girl who is still learning to enjoy things like grooming and new experiences. If youre looking for a smart and deeply loving partner to share your life and adventures, Nala may be your perfect match.   Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption.
