My story

If an award existed for “Saddest Puppy Eyes,” Elijah would take the prize hands down. However, this adorable 11-year-old does not have a sad bone in his little body! Elijah is best described as playful and curious with just the right amount of mischievousness to endear him to all that he meets. He loves to be with his people and we mean REALLY be with his people. Look up the definition of a “Cuddle Bug” and you may very well find a pic of Elijah. This sweet boy prefers to be pressed up against his loved ones whether it’s relaxing on the couch or under the covers at night. And what better way to come home than being greeted by a Doxie doing the “zoomies” with his favorite toy in his mouth! Elijah would thrive in a home where his people can give him all the love and attention that he craves. He has exemplary leash skills and loves his walks where he can explore all the world has to offer. Elijah enjoys his other canine buddies in his foster home so having a companion for him would suit him just fine. It’s all about those beautiful brown eyes for Elijah and with one look you will find him absolutely irresistible!
