My story

Luke is an approximately 5-year-old fluffy pug mix with an extra-soft coat and an even softer heart! This sweet boy loves his people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. He is immediately friendly and happily hands out snuggles, kisses, and requests for belly rubs. Luke has a medium energy level and enjoys a nice balance of activity and relaxation. He likes walks, chew toys, and curling up on a lap once he settles down. He can become very excited when affection is offered and may jump up for attention, but he calms down quickly. He is kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and has done well when left alone for a few hours. Luke also walks nicely on a leash and is good with children, cats, and other dogs. Loud noises can make him nervous, so gentle reassurance will help him feel safe. Luke is still working on potty training and learning to use the doggy door. He currently wears a belly band indoors because he may mark, so his adopter should be prepared to continue patient, consistent training. His beautiful long coat will also need regular brushing and grooming to keep it healthy and free of mats. Luke’s ideal home is one where his people are around often and excited to include him in daily life.
