Meet Boston: The Puppy‑Powered Party StarterBoston showed up as a stray, but he has fully embraced his new identity as a 25‑pound (for now!) Shepherd mix with big dreams and even bigger zoomies. At roughly 9 months to a year old, he’s basically a walking energy drink with ears.He is currently living his best life in his foster home, where he spends his days playing with the other dogs like he’s hosting his own canine Olympics. Wrestling? Gold medal. Zooming? Gold medal. Being adorable? Lifetime achievement award.Boston has mastered the doggy door and is mostly potty trained — he just appreciates a friendly reminder now and then. He walks nicely on a leash, sleeps through the night in his crate, and wakes up ready to spread joy, chaos, and possibly steal a sock. He’s sweet, loving, playful, and convinced that every human he meets is his new best friend. Boston cannot wait to meet his forever family and show them just how much fun life can be with a goofy, energetic sidekick who thinks every day is a celebration. If you’re looking for a dog who brings enthusiasm, cuddles, and a little bit of mischief, Boston is ready to move in and make your home his favorite place on Earth. To get started on the adoption process, visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then stop by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. Or you can just come and see us and fill out a consultation form upon arrival! No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Boston, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
