Winnie

My story

We got Winnie from a local pet store after she had been returned by another family. We got her when she was around 4.5 months old. She is 1.5 years old now. She is a really sweet dog. She would be great for a couple without young children. We’ve worked for a year on the relationship between our toddlers and Winnie but continue to struggle with her behaviors around the kids. She has never bitten the kiddos but will nip at them and jump up on them and knock them down to the point where they are terrified of her. I don’t think she is trying to hurt them intentionally. She just has a lot of puppy energy and is a bit high strung/territorial. Winnie loves to be active and play with toys. She does well when provided with time to run and play outside and with appropriate toys for chewing. She does lounge around the house quite a bit. She likes to snuggle and have lots of belly rubs.
